Frequently asked questions
Which side faces out?
The frosted (matte) side typically faces the side you want to obscure. For a window, that is usually the outside or the room side depending on application. Either orientation works — frosted glass diffuses light from both directions.
Is frosted glass as strong as clear glass?
Yes. Frosted glass is the same annealed float glass as clear — the frosted finish is a surface etch only and does not affect strength. We cut annealed frosted glass only.
Can I clean frosted glass?
Yes, with standard glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive scrubbers on the frosted side as they can alter the texture over time. A soft cloth works best.

- Rectangles: length × width. Circles: diameter across the widest point.
- Pick thickness in the quoter.
